As you see, 5 of the active European professionals out off 8 are still in the race. The 3 missing ones are: Andreii Kravets (who did not take part in the European Championship), Alexander Dinerstein (who was eliminated rather early) and Tanguy Le Calvé, who has just lost yesterday to Stanislaw Frejlak in this last round of the losers section.
Beside them, our 3 surviving "amateurs heroes" are Lukas Podpera, Viktor Lin and Stanislaw Frejlak; not really a surprise still as they are ranked as top European amateurs.
In the "main tournament", after 4 rounds, not quite surprisingly, the 3 Chinese professionals are the only ones - among the top competitors - to remain unbeaten, ahead of 4 very strong Korean amateurs (who only lost to one of them).

Book Signing by Antti Törmänen on Sunday
On Sunday the 28th, from 12 to 14 o’clock, there will be a book signing event for Antti Törmänen’s second book, Rational Endgame. The event will take place at the book store Marchand (located on the third floor).
Rational Endgame is a 122-page theory book that covers the basics of modern endgame theory, teaching how to precisely count the profit that a single move makes. The book also includes 20 exercises, five of which are challenging whole-board problems, and an endgame move bestiary that lists common endgame moves and their respective values. The book is priced at 17 euro for the softcover and 27 euro for the hardcover.
The London Go Centre has uploaded a video on YouTube in which Antti demonstrates some of the theory explained in the book – if you are wavering about getting the book, please check the video out! (And while you are at it, please consider subscribing to the London Go Centre YouTube channel! When they get 1,000 subscribers, they’ll get improved streaming rights, which will improve the visibility of the game on YouTube.)
You can watch the broadcast of the top boards (quarterfinals) on Pandanet and starting at 12:00 there will also be a live review on twitch
You will receive a short daily newsletter and round announcement every morning, except if you request not to. You can request to be taken of the subscribers-list at the infodesk or by sending an email to firstname.lastname@example.org with title "Unsubscribe".
